The Wedding Gift

Always a bridesmaid but never a bride, mousy Jan Marone is heading for her cousin’s destination wedding in Key West with a plan – the New Jan Plan. This week, she’s going to meet a guy and have some sexy fun – by casting off her staid, quiet ways (along with her schoolmarm wardrobe) and transforming into a fun-loving, skin-showing hottie in a teeny-weenie bikini.

But Jan arrives in Key West to discover the hotel has messed up her reservation, and now she’ll have to share a tiny room with her life-long BFF Mick McKenna. But that shouldn’t really put a cramp in the New Jan Plan. Mick’s been her best friend since kindergarten, and they don’t think of each other “that way.”

Or do they?

Mick McKenna loves hard and plays hard. With his thick black hair, chiseled jaw, and hard, muscled body, he’s irresistible to women. But when once-innocent Jan walks into his hotel room, Mick can’t believe his eyes. Now she’s wearing a sexy bikini and talking about “getting lucky.”

Worried she might be in over her head, Mick vows never to leave her side…and suddenly their hotel room seems smaller—and hotter—than ever. Mick’s always been hands-off with Jan—but has the right woman been under his nose the whole time?

Reviews for The Wedding Gift

““[T]he story is tightly woven, fast-paced, light yet scorchingly sexy, the writing is flawless and witty, and there is extraordinary depth to the characters: I felt I knew Jan and Mick inside out…THE WEDDING GIFT is yet another proof of the genius of Cara Connelly: the author never repeats herself yet every book is stunning; THE WEDDING GIFT is not to be missed.” (Fresh Fiction)

“The Wedding Gift is an entertaining, funny, sweet and sexy friends-to-lovers story and the newest addition to Cara Connelly’s Save the Date series… One thing I love about Ms. Connelly’s writing is her ability to make a romantic story very funny, sometimes almost comical, without losing its sexiness… The entire series is one I intend to read over and over.” (The Sassy Bookster)

“This tantalizing novella in the Save the Date series was just what I needed to unwind after a long week. It had one of my favorite troupes in it (Friends to Lovers), an ideal setting for romance, humor and of course plenty of steamy scenes.” (Adria’s Romance Reviews)
